By changing our lens and way of viewing our emotions, and releasing any beliefs or attachments to our feelings, we can begin to realise that there are no 'good’ or 'bad' emotions... rather, simply put: Emotions = Energy in Motion. When emotions arise (in the form of energy in motion) such as anger, fear, uncertainty, confusion etc, and are not acknowledged or experienced, they are suppressed. These emotions can be stored within our body as unreleased energy. This suppressed energy is then often transferred to one of the biggest spaces in our body - our hips. Through spending time opening our hips, using our breath to create space, breathe in what we need, and let go of the old, we can begin to gently open the tap to release emotional energy stored within our body. And in turn, we open up our heart. Enter onto your mat, create space, grow, lengthen, & finally, let go.
